Our mission
Waste is just a waste!
Dick Moby is on a mission to reduce waste. And to look good while we are at it!
We believe that waste is just a waste! Of time, money, resources, the environment... We don’t want to add to the big pile of waste already collecting in the world oceans, forests, deserts and landfills... And we know our customers don’t want that either!
So, we make sure we reduce as much waste as possible with our business, all the while making our customers look and feel good about themselves in their eyewear.
The worst surf trip ever!
In 2012 Tim took Robbert on the worst surf trip ever. The ocean and beach were full of trash. They dried off and decided to do something about it.
As both men are ever so slightly vain, they started making good looking eyewear, out of biodegradable or recycled materials.
Their mission; to reduce waste by making a product from recycled and biodegradable materials.
A few months later, Dick Moby was born.
Nice to meet you

We only use recycled and biodegradable materials to make high quality and stylish eyewear that lets you...
Look good for your planet.
So... what is our impact?
Walk the talk
Sustainability is not a product category, a green label or a fancy brochure. It’s a key element of manufacturing and etched into our DNA.
Quality is key, sustainability is king
All our materials are sourced by us. To guarantee the quality of our product and factory working conditions, we visit our suppliers on a regular basis and we research the environmental impact of materials used.
To double check our footprint we have independent researchers dive into our processes and the materials we use.
